GJPWN --My experience

I have been participating in the Japan-Germany Working Women's Association since its inception. I have a stable job at a Japanese company, and I didn't have any particular problems or worries about working in Germany because I am a woman, but I was interested in it as a place for networking, so I participated. did. It's like extracurricular activities (club activities) at school.

This meeting started with a small meeting only for Japanese women, and at that time I was able to get to know other industries and generations. Now the meeting has grown, and not only Japanese and German women living in Germany, but also Japanese living in neighboring Germany such as Belgium and Germans living in Japan are participating. You can get acquainted with people of other nationalities, and not only women but also men who are interested in discussion themes are welcome.

Meetings are often held in small groups and are a cozy group. Not only can you wait for the secretariat to do something, but you can also propose an event from the members, which is exactly the creative extracurricular activity. You may be able to expand your potential and develop areas of interest. In my case, I helped hold an event to discuss current affairs around dinner and received a lecture on legal issues. I also experience that I don't have the opportunity to meet journalists in my daily work, such as having dinner with journalists.
